About: Royal Preston Hospital

I'm so shocked at the A&E department at Royal preston hospital my elderlery mum aged 81 was left for nearly 12 hours with a opened wound that kept bleeding in the waiting room she is on blood thinners and is diabetic and wasn't seen or told about anything for nearly all these hours one place didn't know what the other place was doing scans etc having got hold of one of the doctors because I was so concerned they thought she had already been for a scan which she hadn't she hadn't even been seen I was dirty filthy and bowls of sick everywhere even one of the staff said its worse than a third world country as you got deeper into the hospital eventually it was shocking even one of the doctors said don't speed home as there are police with cameras on the bridges and he got caught doing 98 yes that's correct a doctor speeding treating patients it doesn't fill us with any confidence in the NHS and the nurse had no glue to glue my mums eye or steri strips it was truly appalling and needs something doing about it!!!!!!!

Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

I am sorry to note that you had such a poor experience recently when attending to the Emergency Department with your mum.

Please contact our Patient Experience and PALS team via email on PALS@lthtr.nhs.uk should you wish us to look into this matter further.

Kind Regards
