"Treatment in Endoscopy unit"

About: Belfast City Hospital / Endoscopy Unit

(as a service user),

I had a colonoscopy. From the day I sent a sample to the bowel screening department the staff in the Endoscopy unit have been fantastic. I took a call from a nurse called Allison and she was reassuring about going for the colonoscopy. Brilliant and relaxing. Today the staff from I arrived were so good from the young nurse taking all my details, the nurse who put the sedation needle in my arm, Doctor Turner his staff and the nurses in the recovery ward certainly know how to treat patients with care and respect. World class staff and treatment. Everyone of them was so civil and helped me relax before and after procedure. Thanks to all of you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback. The SSP & Endoscopy team work very hard to make this stressful process as easy as possible for all our patients. I'm delighted that you felt that you were treated with respect during your time with us. I will share this with the staff involved in your care.

Kind Regards

Sister Brenda Carville
