About: Aelfgar Surgery

I visited the surgery for throat and ear pain. I was seen by ‘Physician’s assistant’. By this time, it was over a week since I had severe throat & ear pain, difficulty swallowing and yet the assistant suggested just paracetamol is enough. A few days later I also had pink eye along with throat & ear pain. A week later (3 weeks in pain now) as my symptoms weren’t any better, I visited the surgery again and was seen by a paramedic, who prescribed antibiotic for a week. Although I completed the antibiotic course and the pain reduced but I had sudden severe throat pain, I visited the surgery again. I was seen by the physicians assistant, who advised unless I have difficulty swallowing or breathing, just paracetamol will be sufficient. How long does one have to suffer in pain to be properly diagnosed and treated?
