"Felt confident in the care I received"

About: Edinburgh Dental Institute / Oral Surgery & Medicine

(as a service user),

I had my second wisdom tooth extracted recently and after a pretty painful recovery the first time, I was really not looking forward to the second time. However (as was the case the first time!), my nurse and Dr were absolutely amazing with me. They were so vigilant when looking out for hand actions from myself to signal I needed a break and I felt the entire process was very patient led. I also really liked that the dentist told me exactly what she was doing (there was a bit of a problem taking the tooth out at first which meant the dentist had to drill a bit longer but she explained this all to me and also reassured me that nothing was wrong which I was really grateful for). Thanks so much to everyone at the hospital - both times I have felt confident in the care I have received.
