"Such a wonderful experience"

About: Maternity care / Delivery suite / MLU

(as a service user),

My second child was delivered by the most incredible midwife, Claire, and her student, Kathryn, in the MLU. It was such a wonderful experience and both Claire & Kathryn made my husband and I feel very at ease as our baby girl made her way into the world.

Claire was very professional yet so calming and supportive during my labour - she guided me through exactly what I needed to do. I felt like I could trust her, particularly when you feel so vulnerable which I often think back on and feel thankful for her presence during my labour that evening.

I am forever thankful to Claire & Kathryn for delivering our baby girl into the world and for facilitating my request to have my baby in the Midwifery Led Unit, which has such a calming and dignified presence.

My first labour was quite a difficult, traumatic experience and I truly feel my experience within the MLU and with midwives Claire and Kathryn has healed me in ways I didn't know needed healed.

Thank you so much to Claire, Kathryn and the midwives of DHH.
