"Really impressed at the considerate care"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency

(as a relative),

My grandson required attention for a head wound. We registered this when it happened in the evening and came at 8.00am the next morning for attention.

Each member of staff met us with kindness and were most efficient. Right from the car park attendant, including the nurse and even passing staff. 

We were really impressed at the considerate care he was given....as well as the ice lolly! 

We were treated by a very pleasant young doctor (sadly I didn't catch name).

We are all so quick to criticise, and unprompted even my grandson on departure said, Thank you, lady!

 So out of the mouths of babes!  Well done!

Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience with us. We are delighted to hear that your grandson received the care and attention he needed, and that each member of our team, from the car park attendant to the nurse and doctor, made such a positive impression.

It’s heart warming to know that you felt welcomed and cared for during what can be a stressful time, and that your grandson’s experience was made a little brighter with an ice lolly! We are particularly pleased to hear that our staff’s kindness and efficiency left such a lasting impact.

We also appreciate your thoughtful comment about how easy it is to criticise, but your grandson’s thank you is a reminder of the difference a kind word and caring approach can make. We will certainly share your feedback with the team, including the doctor involved, who we’re sure will be happy to know that their care was appreciated.
