"Always helpful, caring and cheerful"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / General Surgery Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / High Dependency Unit & Intensive Care Unit

(as the patient),

I recently underwent lung surgery in RIE, and have nothing but praise for the dedication and professionalism of the many people who cared for me before, during and after my procedure. I cannot thank my surgeon enough. He was very approachable, and called in to see me several times after my operation, which I really appreciated. His team also listened to my concerns, and took time to answer my anxious questions and put me at ease before my op. I was well looked after during my short stay in HDU, and the staff during my extended stay in Ward 102 were absolute stars: always helpful, caring and cheerful, to myself and other patients, even though they were clearly under a lot of pressure at times. I am very grateful to everyone who looked after me so well .... thank you all!
