"Having an epididymal cyst removed at Vale of Leven Hospital"

I know its a standard procedure, but i hadn't been in hospital for over 30yrs, so was a little anxious on arrival.

As soon as I arrived on the ward I was met with an engaging and happy member of staff who quickly put me at ease. She was proffesional and got me settled and through any initial nerves, explaining the process and what to expect. She even had me smiling, which isn't easy as I'm not a morning person. Not good with names but I think hers was Jennifer.

This was a sign of things to come as I found the nursing team really first class. Everyone was helpful, attentive and great at their jobs. It made the whole experience very relaxed and I felt looked after from the moment I was on the ward. Any questions I had were generally answered before I had to ask. 

I just wanted to say thank you to the team as it made what could have been a horrible experience a very pleasant one.

p.s. And the tea and toast was great too
