"The kindness of gentlemen"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital Kilkeel Primary Care Centre - Dr. Chambers & Partner

(as a relative),

We knew my father was very poorly with an ongoing cancer diagnosis but he was not expected to pass soon.  However, due to pneumonia he was taken very suddenly and unexpectedly overnight from us.  I wanted to express how  Doctor Taha was so kind and caring during the short period of time he cared for my father in the hospital, he also was not expecting this result and on returning to work to discover his patient had passed during the night he rang me to express his sorrow and apologise for not being able to give us the family more time with our loved one to say our goodbyes.  I have never met a more humble and kind gentlemen and his concern and care for us was just exceptional.

I want to also mention our father's GP Dr Jadczak, he also provided kindness, care and reached out in a most natural and humble way.

So just to thank all that was involved in caring for my Father, it is appreciated.

Dear ospreync99 - thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us and apologies for the delay in responding to you.

I am very sorry for your loss and I can understand that this has been a very difficult time for you, especially as your Father's passing was so unexpected. It is very thoughtful of you to share your story with us in the midst of your grief and highlights that compassion and kindness are so important.

I have shared your comments with Dr Taha, who is very appreciative of your kind words. We will also share with your father's GP Dr Jadczak and I'm sure that he too will be appreciative of your lovely sentiments.

Take care of yourself

Christine Armstrong
