"Bad experience "

About: Lodge Surgery

Went to a collect a one of prescription from the chemist next door this morning- they advised they didn’t have the one I needed , so went to the doctors and asked for capsules not tablets, I was stood for ages as no one was at reception and when I was greeted, the lady was rather abrupt and didn’t look or sound like she wanted to help. I asked for the different tablets and if she could push it through as I was in a lot of pain , she said she couldn’t do it that quick . I also asked about the medication as I read it can have interference with the mental health medication I already take and could I have advice. She wrote it all down on a prescription not on my notes . It’s only because I looked at my online account I seen the prescription was done. So I made my way up to collect ir from the chemist and to my Suprise the doctor sent it to my normal pharmacy which doesn’t deliver until Friday. The chemist was amazing and said I needed to go back to the doctors.again I was met with another receptionist who looked like she didn’t want to be there and wasn’t helpful, even though I told her I was in a lot of pain and near enough in tears. Basically the chemist did the job of the surgery and sorted it all out, as I could hardly stand and was in tears. But basically I’ve heard nothing from the surgery when I asked for advice and now taking medication that I don’t feel happy taking as I’ve read up it doesn’t go well with my medication. The doctor I spoke to yesterday was amazing and today the receptionists and doctor that did the mediation has let my experience down. I was going to phone tomorrow about how much pain I’m in but I’m worried now about my experience- normally I have nothing but fantastic experience since moving baxk

Dear Rebecca

I am saddened by the experience you detail in your review, this is not the service that we aim to deliver, or that you appear to have had in the past.

We welcome all patient feedback, positive or negative, so please be assured that your comments will be discussed with the team.

Patients are strongly advised to contact a GP if they have any concerns regarding their medication, so I would advise you to call the surgery.

Kind regards

Sue Vickers

Practice Manager
