"She cared for both me and my partner very well"

About: Maternity Care / Labour Ward

(as a service user),

In mid February I was admitted to the high risk labour ward (23 UHW) to give birth to my son.

My midwife, Niamh was incredible. Niamh was extremely professional, knowledgeable and calming. She asked for consent during the entirety of my labour and explained every process and procedure thoroughly. She cared for both me and my partner very well and made us feel at ease and in very safe hands.

We trusted her instantly due to her high level of knowledge and the calming presence she brought into the room. Finding out Niamh had only qualified last year left me in complete shock.

I've never met anyone so perfect for their job role, she should be extremely proud of herself for how far she has come in such a short period of time!

Dear Emmamt306

Thank you for sharing your experience of UHW labor ward

I am so pleased to hear that Niamh treated you so well throughout your stay with us. I am glad that to hear that you were looked after by such a friendly, kind and professional member of staff and that she provided first class care to you. It must have helped to make you feel at ease while being with us.

I will pass on your kind words to Niamh and the whole team who I am sure will be delighted to hear how this excellent care impacted your experience.

I hope you and your new baby are doing well.

Kind Regards,

Jen
