My child needed to be seen at the Children’s A and E in Glasgow with suspected appendicitis. This resulted in three separate visits over three days.
I want to thank every member of staff from the reception teams, the triage teams, the A and E team and the surgical teams. I had my daughter and my baby with me and every member of staff treated us with respect, kindness, compassion and gave us the time we needed.
Apologies if I have wrong spellings and mixed up names, I was a bit stressed out!
Special mention to Rachel the nurse who took my baby daughter and bounced her around the department while I nipped to the loo and while I had to help my daughter. Thank you for being amazing!
I would like to thank Callum for doing such an excellent job with inserting a cannula with care and having some excellent Pokémon knowledge, Rhurdiah for being so caring and informative about the surgical options and remembering us when we came back in and Claire for her brilliant bedside manner with a 7 year old who was running out of enthusiasm and who gave a very thorough and accessible assessment.
Every test was done, our story was listened to and I felt everything was thorough and appropriate.
Many thanks to you all, keep up the amazing work you do.
