"ENT Paediatric Surgery"

My son was called for surgery to have his tonsils and adenoids removed in October 2024. The surgery was cancelled with no reason provided to me.

I called Daycase and his Surgeon's Secretary to see if I could be provided with some more information in November 2024. I was informed me that as he was cancelled he would be top of the list for surgery in the new year.

February 2025 I contacted Daycase waiting lists and was informed he would receive his date for surgery by end of that week. I still have not received any information 3 weeks later. Have tried calling for an update but no response.

I am really confused as to the process of these lists and the information that seems to not be true in either case that I have been in contact.

No one seems to be able to help/ advise/ update me with any truth and my little boy is now almost waiting 6 months after his original surgery date.

It is disappointing and difficult for us both as we had worked hard to prepare him for surgery 6 months ago.
