"Every time I phone the line I get the same message"

About: Aberdeen Community Health Village / Podiatry

(as the patient),

I’ve had an injury to my toe and have fissures on my heels. I had an appointment which they said I would be seen again in 4-8 weeks . This has been over 8 weeks and they haven’t contacted me regarding my next appointment.

I have been trying to call podiatry however the call line always says unavailable to take call. I have phoned Frederick street blue zone and they said the most they can do is provide the same number and tell me the line is available with someone to answer today. Every time I phone the line I get the same message. I have been trying for over two weeks now .

I do understand with the nhs pressures that the system is busy but not being able to contact the relevant department regarding your issue isn’t acceptable.

Hello Sm762

I am sorry to hear that you are having challenges with contacting our service. Our clinical advice line operates Monday-Friday from 09.30-12.30, however I understand that this is a very busy line and you have been unable to make contact with us.

Can I please ask that you call Aberdeen Health Village, Blue Zone Reception on the following number the 0345 099 0200 and Option 5 and leave your details for the attention of Kirsty Symons (Principal Podiatrist). Our admin team will forward these to me and we will make direct contact with you in order to provide support.

Thank you for posting your feedback, this will help us to look into the functionality of our clinical advice line, and make improvements to ensure the experience is better for everyone trying to access our service.

Many thanks

Kirsty Symons (Principal Podiatrist)
