"Very friendly and supportive of all our needs"

About: Forth Valley Community Services / Stroke Transition & Rehabilitation Team (START)

(as a carer),

My husband has had a couple of strokes in past. Last August he had another one, then another one in November.

After the last one, he was offered aftercare to help his recovery with the specific START team.

This was really helpful to him, to aid moving forward.

Cathryn, a physio, and Nicole, speech and language, were out every week for 8 weeks to work with my husband. They were really helpful, very patient and helped him move forward. He still has a long way to go, but what a difference getting specialist aftercare, personalised to his needs.

Both girls were very friendly and supportive of all our needs. They put us at ease and were great when things were not going well.

This service is really worthwhile and has helped so much with my husband's recovery.

Hi Maya5

Thankyou so much for your lovely feedback. I'm so glad you and your husband's experience with START was so positive. I will share your words with the staff involved. It is always a real boost for us to hear about the difference our team can make. Wishing you and your husband all the best with the rest of his recovery.
