"I was looked after incredibly well"

About: Maternity care / Maternity Out Patient Department Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Maternity care Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Reproductive Health (Simpson Centre) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

I was transferred to Little France after my waters broke early and my local hospital in Glasgow didn’t have space to house me for monitoring.

From the staff at QEUH, the Glasgow ambulance staff who transferred me at 4am, and everyone at ward 119 at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary who looked after me for 4 days during the most scary time of my life so far I want to say a huge thank you.

I was looked after incredibly well and every member of staff I encountered was lovely, professional and above all caring.

Hi caelummz75,

I see my colleagues from QEUH and RIH have responded but I just wanted to add our thanks from the Scottish Ambulance Service for your kind comments and such positive feedback.

It sounds like quite a scary experience you've been through and I'm glad that all the NHS staff were able to take such good care of you and make that experience just a little bit easier.

They all really appreciate getting such positive feedback from patients and their families so thank you for taking the time to write in to pass on your thanks and share your experience.

We wish you all the very best,

Take care,

Marie
