"We weren’t allowed to see him and was told to leave"

Got called onto the ward to be told about my dad’s cancer diagnosis and that he was end of life. The staff I saw were abrupt in telling us then left us in the room alone. We weren’t allowed to see him and was told to leave when waving at him through the window. Family was clearly in states of crying and a staff member shouted at us to wash our hands and move.

He was on the ward for 3 weeks and we weren’t allowed to see him once even when he was told about his diagnosis and his mental health deteriorated. Upon him being discharged the staff member said that they hope they don’t see us back here.
