"Passed from pillar to post"

I had an appointment to have a contraceptive coil fitted following a consultation. I have some symptoms related to my periods that gave them cause for concern so when I arrived for the appointment I was told that I wouldnt be able to have a coil fitted. If this was the case, I was expecting to be called before the appointment. I took time off work, travelled to stoke and waited for a completely pointless appointment. I am very tired of being passed from person to person in the nhs without any resolution. I am now 3 months into the process and have been rebooked to have the same appointment I had 3 months ago with my gp.
