About: Thurrock Services / Inclusion Thurrock Psychological Therapies Service

(as a service user),

So therapy is hard, talking about things you’ve tried so hard to suppress and run from. However when you’ve got someone that you feel comfortable talking to it makes you less scared, less worried about being judged and all that makes you a lot more honest with what you say. Sometimes it makes you feel better just to let it all out and not hold anything back through fear.

Hi raincw33,

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m glad to hear that having a supportive therapist made it easier for you to open up without fear of judgment. Feeling safe and heard can make a significant difference in the therapeutic journey.

It’s completely understandable that therapy can be challenging, but as you’ve discovered, allowing yourself to express those suppressed thoughts and emotions can also be incredibly freeing.

Wishing you continued healing.

Take care,
