‘The NHS is on its knees’ ‘you don’t get proper care anymore’… I fully agree it’s struggling but I for one saw first hand that the care is still there and they continue to do the absolute best they can for us.
After feeling really unwell (asthma caused by nasty virus and peak flows dropped like a stone) 111 said I needed an ambulance. I protested (old school you gotta be dying to call them right)? They insisted and an ambulance arrived within 25mins.
The paramedics were professional, caring and all with good humour. They packed me a bag, fed the cat, gave me emergency care and insisted I needed to go to hospital as my readings were ‘pretty crap really’.
Yes, some of the waiting time was long but I made it back home at 3am after having an ECG, 4 nebulizers, blood tests (showed infection), various intravenous drugs, saline, oral drugs and a chest x ray….and they even made me a cuppa!
All of the staff were great and my Dr was so thorough for which I am truly thankful.
Being kept company by my lovely, caring daughter - priceless, love you darlin girl 🥰
So, everyone, if you are unfortunate and need their care, please remember what stress they are under, be patient and know that the care is still there. We are still so much more fortunate than the majority of countries in this world who have nothing or have to pay to even look at a Doctor.
Love Darth Vader- on the mend and almost ready to fight another day 🥰xx
"Exceptional care"
