"Great use of eConsult technology"

I had a new condition arise over a weekend and decided to use an eConsult online submission early on Monday morning. Unfortunately the Practice's broadband was down I later discovered and my eConsult could only be sent about 10am on Monday (I was delighted to discover that the entries and photos I had already entered were retained and I didn't need to re-enter anything after the Practice broadband returned). Given the phones had been down as well with the broadband outage I hadn't expected a fast response. However, within two hours I'd had a call back informing me the triage GP had assessed my condition and wanted me to see my own GP two days later, which I did. This was very impressive service at a time of likely high volume calls and eConsult submissions. Seeing my own GP who is familiar with my medical history was a perfect solution to my needs. Proved the value of a GP triage system combined with eConsult. Congratulations to all involved!

Thank you for your kind review. Despite the outage, we aim to respond to all Clinical eConsults on the day.

For your information also, we are being upgraded to have 2 dedicated Broadband fibre lines into the Surgery at Chapel Street (Tring) which will make our connection bother more resilient to local outages.
