"Minimal discomfort and lots of reassurance"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Gynaecology Clinic

(as a service user),

I attended the one stop clinic at Stobhill day hospital. It was Dr Reid’s Clinic but Dr Higgins was the clinician I saw.

From arrival I felt treated with care and kindness from the nurse (Shirley) who told me how to get ready, to the 2 doctors (trainee gynaecologist Sophie and Dr Higgins). I was very nervous about the whole thing having seen a story on television recently about how awful it could be.

Well these ladies made it as good as it could possibly have been with minimal discomfort and lots of reassurance and a fair bit of humour. I felt confident that I was in good kind hands from start to finish.

A huge testament to the fact that our Scottish NHS is not broken, and staffed by incredibly professional and decent people. Please say thank you to them all.

Dr Higgins, Sophie and Shirley will be glad to know you felt you were treated with care and kindness.

Despite being nervous I am pleased that you had minimal discomfort and you were reassured with some humour along the way.

It is praise indeed that you felt confident with the team from start to finish and found the team incredibly professional and that they were decent people.

i am the senior charge nurse within clinic f at stobhill hospital ach.this clinic is dedicated to womens health within gynaecology .Patients attend for a variety of different gynaecological issues where a diagnosis can be made and further treatments given.I also manage a group of 15 nurses in order for them to safely provide the highest and most up to date care for each patient
