recently i was called for an examination after waiting since july for expedited surgery, i questioned what would take place multiple times over the phone and via email. i turn up on the day at 7 am after travelling since 5:30 am to be told i would have a large wound to my bottom by the surgeon at around 10am. Anyone that has surgery I'm sure would plan their life accordingly but this miss communication has thrown my life in the air yet again as i now have to decide what i can manage in the coming months, i have been added to a list but not contacted as promised, this was only found out by calling and being persistent as at first i was told im not on any lists. this is as a whole very disappointing as these surgeries weigh heavy on an individual and the poor practice has resulted in wasting a lot of peoples time including the surgeons. im limited to the infomation i gave give as i cant mention names but the same issues are recuring and the hospital needs a serious review of their nursing staff, some are great and the others are quite rude, the rude ones should learn from their peers as the difference in staff is great. i will name names through pals as the first incident can be excused but the second is just insulting. if you havent had large surgeries on you bottom you shouldnt pass comment laughing and expressing that it isnt a big deal, very out of touch.
"Poor communication"
