About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

I was admitted to wishaw general hospital as an emergency.

The care I received from the paramedics (based at Coatbridge) the nursing staff,porters,radiographers and staff in resus was exemplary.

 All staff kept me updated on my care, they advised me of next steps and why I was having certain tests. 

I was asked continually how I was.

Every detail was explained to me.

Although I was stressed and worried I  felt assured I knew exactly what was happening.

They made a very upsetting and worrying time more manageable for myself and my family and I’m extremely grateful for the care I received.

Thanks so much for taking the time to send in this feedback about your recent experience in the NHS. All of the staff involved in your care will really appreciate hearing this and it's great to read that our staff from the Scottish Ambulance Service were exemplary.

I can understand how stressful an experience it must have been for you and I'm glad that everyone was able to do their best to make such a worrying time a little bit less stressful for you.
