Following my mum’s diagnosis of Pulmonary Fibrosis a few years ago, the district nursing team under Karen helped support my mum until she passed away.
Every one of the district nurses who called to my mum’s home treated her with the utmost care and dignity. Not only this but they took the time to chat with her and took a genuine interest in all she had to tell them. My mum was able to talk to the team about things that she didn’t want to worry us about which took a lot of pressure off her.
The team were able to advise us as family members what we could expect and answered any questions we had.
My mum looked forward to the team coming in and they helped us greatly in coming to terms with what was going on.
We will never forget the respect and care shown to my mum and us when she passed away and the team came in and treated us all in such a caring way, it meant the world to us.
"The wonderful care my mum received"
