"Nothing was ever too much and I felt well looked after"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Combined Assessment Unit (CAU)

(as the patient),

Immersive Reader

I had a two night stay within the rapid assessment ward within CAU at Ayr hospital in early February. I received excellent care from all of the nurses, ANPs, doctors and health care support workers and they really could not do enough for the patients. Nothing was ever too much and I felt extremely well looked after.

One negative was the ward was extremely cold, especially overnight.

Overall, my care was exceptional and the staff showed dignity, respect and a very high level of empathy throughout my stay.

Dear DMR2

Thank you so much for your kind words. I shall ensure that the staff see your feedback. I am so sorry that it was cold. I will get that looked in to, to ensure another patient doesn't suffer from the cold overnight.

Kind regards
