"Care from hospital staff"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Acute Receiving Unit (Units 1-5) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Rheumatology ( Wards 6a & 6b)

(as the patient),

As always, I like to give praise where due. This time, is no exception. I was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. From the moment I arrived to the day I was discharged 3 days later, I was treated with the utmost care and kindness.

I like to name staff, rather than just a ward or department, as it's more personal.

A&E Carson, Lauren, Emilian, Tracy, Kaya, Ashley, Dr. Emily, Emma and Lisa (Research nurses)

ARU1 Carly, Norah, Annemarie, Dr. David and Maureen from Pharmacy. Also porter manager Liam

6A Charge nurse Nikki, Monica, Caitlin, Nicole, Sojan, Lynsey, Rhona, Susan(such a lovely lady), Libby and Beth, HNC, Zeus, Evin, Drs. Petros and Evelyn, Judith PFF, Selma phlebotomist, Maria from Pharmacy

Discharge Lounge Bernise, Mhairi, Bernadetta and Fiona.

Rather than start another post, I would also like to thank my district nurse Megan for her care.

A huge thanks to all, from an extremely grateful patient 💙💙

Dear NHSRules

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your heartfelt appreciation for the care you received at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. It’s truly wonderful to hear how much of a positive impact all the staff had on your experience, and we’re so grateful for your thoughtful recognition.

We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to everyone you’ve mentioned, as it’s clear that the care and kindness you received made such a difference to your time in the hospital. From the A&E team to the ward staff, doctors, nurses, and pharmacy team, it’s heartening to hear that you felt so well supported throughout your stay. We’re also glad to hear that your district nurse, Megan, continued to provide excellent care after you left the hospital.

Your feedback is a true reflection of the commitment and dedication of the NHS staff, and it will undoubtedly mean a lot to everyone involved in your care.

Thank you again for sharing your story, and we wish you continued good health and well being as you recover.

Update posted by NHSRules (the patient)

Thank you Kevin. As someone who suffers from severe agoraphobia, I do get a bit nervous when I call for an ambulance, but knowing the staff go out of their way to put me at ease, helps a lot.
