Marian came to see me about a course for my son when I had reached the end of my search for help. I was struggling emotionally and mentally with the pain and trauma of 3 abused children as well as my own abuse at the hands of a horrific man. I was homeless with my children and my 3 year old son was struggling to come to terms with all the changes, his trauma and was showing extreme violence and dangerous behaviour. Every day was a nightmare. Marian turned up about a course and seen the distress we were all in and she felt compelled to help even though it wasn't her role.
I was brought to tears with finally having someone to listen and someone who cared. I felt like I had a lifeline. She also seen me and set me on path for my own counselling and support.
Marian went above and beyond, she could have walked away buy she stayed for the kids and I, what a wonderful person. She set in motion loads of things which have led to the kids and I getting support we need. The journey continues but it wouldn't have begun without her help. I am so grateful at what she has done for us all, she even thinks of all the children when she calls and visits, like each one is cared for which is so kind. She is a credit to the team and I can't thank her enough.
