"Visiting the breastfeeding support clinic"

About: Children & Young People Physical Health / Doncaster Health Visitors 0-5

(as a parent/guardian),

My little boy was born in August 24’ and for nearly 9 weeks we were struggling with weight gain as we were breastfeeding. Through these 9 weeks there was lots of tears and moments of wanting to give up, but once his tongue tie was found we were recommended to visit the breastfeeding support clinic and it was the best thing I ever did.

The love and support you get from the ladies running the group and also from other parents that are going through the same thing is incredible. If it wasn’t for Claire, Carol and Kat I would have absolutely given up breastfeeding because I felt like I was failing. They showed me techniques and tips to make the feeding process easier and once he had his tie cut he proceeded to pile on the weight. The past 4 months have been a pleasure. Thank you, for all you ladies do!

good afternoon

thank you so much for taking the time to share your journey with us following the birth of your little boy in August. Its lovely to hear that although you have had a difficult first few weeks you have received support and advice which was much needed as well as having support from other new mums.

thank you again for taking the time to share, and I will definitely share with Claire, Carol and Kat.

thank you again

Christine
