"I haven't been happier in years"

About: One Recovery Bucks / Aylesbury

(as a service user),

One year ago I lost my partner , father of my son and it was an extremely difficult time for me , so I started to drink every time I was feeling uncomfortable or scared.

I knew that if I continued to use alcohol I will make everything worse so I had to find a way how to stop.

I never wanted to be a victim and this situation that I was in made loads of people feel sorry for me.

It was humiliating.

I didn’t feel bad for myself I just wanted to not think about it .

Bucks recovery helped me so much.

They told me how to manage my addiction by keeping records of my drinking patterns and made me ask myself why do I drink before I have drink.

Now I’m not even thinking about using alcohol to numb my feelings.

I have job because I received help from Buck’s recovery and I haven’t been happier in years.

Thank you for help and support.
