"Thank you for your help and service"

About: Belfast City Hospital / Endoscopy Unit

(as a service user),

I felt very uncomfortable when i had a camera crew crawling through my bum into my internals to take samples from inside, i must say you need more gas than air in the gas and air they give you to take when the procedure is in process. All that said the staff where very friendly and concerning throughout the process and the after care nurse was very helpful and concerning about my wellbeing.

Im now leaking blood from my bum alot more than before so im not sure if the process was as successful as it turned out.

Thank you for your help and service during my time with your staff i am very grateful for the help and curtesy provided

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such positive feedback. I note by your response you have a very good sense of humour, which can be helpful when dealing with stressful situations ( "the camera crew " statement did make me laugh!). I will share your feedback with the staff. On a more serious note please contact me directly asap on 02895041154 to discuss/ offer advice regarding your current health status/bleeding or visit GP for assessment.

Many Thanks -in anticipation

Sr Brenda Carville

Thank you for tanking the time to provide this feedback.

I would like to highlight the important request from Sr Carville to please get in touch with the unit regarding the symptoms described in your post. Perhaps these have resolved or you have seen your GP since this post was made. However, I would still encourage you to get in touch to advise of this.

Kind Regards,

Ciaran McErlean
