"Not given any additional bandages"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / General surgery New Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I was in for day surgery on my right knee. I can't fault the care I got from start to end but the bandage they put on following surgery was expected to be on for the next 3 weeks, but I had to phone 111 on the evening as blood started to appear. The nurse on the end of phone seemed shocked and when i told her I wasn't given any additional bandages, I had to go out and buy some. Don't get me started about A+E up New Cross, i walked out after 2 hours.
