"The staff were very friendly and warm"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Maternity

(as the patient),

I was very nervous about my first scan as it was was my first pregnancy and my sister has experienced multiple losses. The staff were very friendly and warm. My appointment was on time and the sonographer Debbie was excellent.

I wish they would separate partners who have just received bad news away from all the other people receiving scans.

Overall my experience was excellent.

I work as part of the Maternity Transformation project with the local maternity and neonatal service to improve services for patients and staff.

Dear melonhg48

Thankyou for taking the time to send us this feedback. I am really pleased that your scan ran on time and that the sonographer and other staff were warm and friendly. I will definitely ensure I pass this on to the team.

I will also pass on the feedback around partners receiving bad news as we would always endeavour for everyone's comfort and support to give a quiet space for those experiencing bad news.

Thankyou again
