"Lovely calm staff when getting coil inserted"

About: Children & Young People Physical Health / Doncaster Zone 5-19

(as the patient),

I went to get the Kyleena coil inserted. I had read loads of things online prior to my appointment about how painful insertion would be.

I went in really nervous, but the two professionals were so lovely and calm and chatty with me that I felt a lot better. All throughout the insertion they did a fantastic job at distracting me and just chatting to me that I didn’t even realise the procedure was happening!

All i felt was a slight discomfort, i wouldn’t even count it as a cramp, and before I knew it, I was done.

Overall it was a really good and positive experience.
