"Bad practice "

About: The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust

I experience over 9 hours, sitting in small room on the ward (Ray Ward). No staff cares about patient safety and risk. AAU and Ray Ward lied about bed ability, only to be moved to Ray Ward and there is no bed. They sat me in a room with three chairs for over 8 hours. Poor communication, bad management, attitude and disbelieve. What a bad experience I had on the 6/2/2025 as a diabetic patient.

Dear patient,

I am sorry you have had this experience as a diabetic patient on Ray Ward. This is not the standard of care we expect or wish to provide and so it is disappointing to read what happened for you.

Please make contact with me directly so we can more formally address these issues, you can email me at paht.pals@nhs.net.
