"Great care at RAH, Paisley"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency Royal Alexandra Hospital / Fracture Clinic (orthopaedics) Royal Alexandra Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 21-23)

(as a service user),

I cut my thumb and attended A+E at RAH in Paisley. After a short wait I was seen in the minor injuries unit. A great nurse cleaned and examined my wound and realised I may have severed my tendon. She diagnosed it and had it confirmed by a doctor. I was sent home to be admittted the next day for repair surgery. I reattended the next day at 9am at the trauma unit. The unit was clean, efficient and after being examined and ECG etc I was in theatre by 12.30. Everyone was polite, introduced themselves and unhurried. I woke up on the ward. I was checked by the nurses very thoroughly. The consultant spoke to me and I was home by 9pm that night.

I just love the NHS and want to thank everyone who treated me so well medically and personally.

The staff from trainee nurse to consultant were super. A brilliant service.

Thank you

Dear talonwf59,

Thank you for your feedback, that sounds like quite a stressful experience and your feedback is so positive. I am sure all of the staff will appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences.

I hope you are recovering well

Regards

Lucy
