About: Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership

This practice needs to join the digital age properly. In contrast with my dentist, who sends me endless appointment reminders, this practice sends none. Surely text reminders, which are easy to send, would stop most non shows. I never miss my dental appointments, but today I missed my critically important B12 injection today, by only 10 mins. My appointment has had to be rebooked. I’m far from happy.

Dear Colin,

Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention as it appears that we have a glitch in the system which is indeed preventing reminder text messages from being sent. The team are working to rectify this urgently.

Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience you experienced as a result, I am sorry you missed your appointment and had to rebook.

However, it does seem that text messages have continued to send at the point of booking each appointment, so you should have received at least one message from us with the date and time of your original appointment.
