I took my son to our doctor as we suspected he had tonsillitis. The GP called ENT at Exeter and they said he should come to the emergency department, a bit of a surprise!
We arrived at ED and waited for along time, but that was expected. But at every stage the staff were brilliant. In particular Emily who was the specialist ENT doctor who saw my son and made the diagnosis of glandular fever and also to Julienne & Banner in the Abbey Ward who were brilliant, friendly, kind, attentive and were brilliant at explaining what was happening and what all the meds were for.
My son was discharged along with an ongoing medication and care plans at home. What was an unexpected stressful situation was made much easier by those particular staff but also all the staff on Abbey Ward who worked so hard and under immense pressures. Thank you :)
"The staff were brilliant"
