"Little care for the smaller things"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

(as a volunteer/advocate),

I am a church visitor not infrequently required to go to Blackburn to visit people. The management has instigated a policy of Reception refusing to say where patients are without a date of birth. I am unable to get this information in an emergency as we are legally unable to store and keep such data. Making visiting difficult impacts on patients' mental health. A complaint was raised, but dismissed.

Truly, there seems to be little care for the smaller things which mean a lot of a great many people.
