"Good doctors but terrible call center "

About: West Lodge Surgery

The staff is really nice once you manage to get hold of someone, but getting an actual appointment is a true pain. Eventually you give up on your symptoms and hope for the best. Had to even go to a walk in center for my 3 year old with chest infection, even though 111 and the pharmacist talked to them directly and requested her to be seen immediately. It is really a pity

We apologise if you feel our services has not been accessible to you. Delays in obtaining appointments and delays sometimes due to unforeseen emergency appointments, can also add to these concerns.

We want to help patients access the practice as easily as possible and below is a list of alternative ways to access services at West Leeds Family Practice and are available via the practice website www.westleedsfamilypractice.co.uk

• 1 / REGISTER FOR ONLINE SERVICES

• book, check or cancel appointments with a GP, nurse, or other healthcare professional

• order repeat prescriptions

• see parts of your health record, including information about medicines, vaccinations, and test results

• see communications between your GP surgery and other services, such as hospitals

2 / REGISTER FOR NHS APP

NHS App allows you to access lots of different health and care websites and apps with just one set of login details. You can securely access many digital health and care services with one email address and password. You will need:

• an email address (with more than 6 characters)

• a mobile phone number

3 / PATCHS

Accessing PATCHS: you can access PATCHS by clicking on the banner on your GP website or using the NHS App (if your GP practice have enabled access).

Registering for PATCHS: you can access PATCHS by using the NHS App or NHS Login (if you have an account) or by registering for a PATCHS account. It is also possible to access PATCHS with a 'Guest Account' so you do not need to register, but this will mean that you will need to enter all your personal details every time you contact the GP practice, and you will not have access to view historic requests.

We appreciate feedback and look to continuously improve our service to our patients to aim for excellence. We would be happy to discuss your concerns further if you wished to contact the practice.
