"Cancelled sessions"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a service user),

I feel so frustrated as when session are on staff shortage is still in dangerously bad.

Because if there is an incident the majority of the time staff have had to go home injured.

When it comes to the CQC visiting they are staffing up the wards, why cant they show it as it is. Although i get told things are reported to the CQC i dont feel that is 100% true becasue if it was they would be out alot more to assess it considering how dangerous I feel it can be on the wards especially at meal times.

Our garden has been out of bounds for months. We were told it was due to rabbit holes needing to be filled and rocks. This has been months we keep asking but we get nowhere.

I feel let down i was looking forward to the pier meeting. we cant go into the garden or the grounds. so were stuck in the day room like sardeens.

When they are looking at staff they should make sure vital groups such as pier meeting which is only once a month, church and functions there all so important to support people to socialise as socialising is a key part of moving on and not feeling stuck on the wards all the time.

Hi,

Thank you for expressing your concerns regarding DRC evening activity cancellations.

I would like to acknowledge that staffing shortages have unfortunately impacted the DRC team being able to deliver the sessions we would normally offer.

I would like to stress these decisions are not taken lightly and we understand the importance in maintaining a consistent programme for you.

Also please be reassured that the hospital management structure are making every effort to ensure that TES activities go ahead as planned and have incorporated various strategies to do so.

To conclude I would just like to thank you for your feedback and both your understanding and patience as we work through these challenges.

Should you have any further queries or concerns please do hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

Lee Buttle

DRC Manager
