Just over a week ago my husband had a back operation (lumbar decompression) at Exeter Hospital Wonford. Before he went into hospital, due to his spinal stenosis he was barely walking. The stenosis was extremely debilitating. Now, only 9 days later, he is walking like a young man again!
We are eternally grateful to the surgeon that performed the operation, and to all the team surrounding him: all the staff on the ward and the physiotherapist.Thanks too to the accommodation office who provided me with accommodation during my husband’s stay in hospital. We live a long way from the hospital, and this allowed me to accompany my husband.We are so lucky to have an NHS staffed by such competent, devoted, and compassionate personnel. Thank you to all those at Exeter Hospital Wonford who have helped restore my husband’s health. Your work has been life changing for us.
