"They provided a sense of calm for us"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a parent/guardian),

Attended ophthalmology dept recently with my son. 

When we arrived the receptionist was really welcoming and friendly.  She spoke with my son directly, chatting and putting him at ease. 

Evie, one of the nurses was completing an eye test on my son and had such a lovely approach that I wanted to share this feedback.  Evie was so calm and caring, she took the time to  explain what would happen so he knew what to expect and kept checking in with him to make sure he was ok.  She really took the time to avoid him becoming nervous or feeling rushed, even the way she moved the equipment in the room was calm and gentle.  

In such a busy department Evie provided that sense of calm that patients, especially children, need to make appointments as easy as possible. Thank you Evie for doing such a wonderful job under the pressure of a busy clinic.
