"Non-existent service"

About: Harvey Group Practice

I received an email in December from the surgery, clearly sent to everyone, informing me that I can't book appointments due to them being too busy. Since then, I've had no message about a return to normal service.

Normal service, if you can call it that, now involves trying to book appointments online. I tried that yesterday for my son, only to find that I can't book one due to it being too busy.

They say on this site that the surgery is open to new registrations, but they cannot cope with current levels.

I'm paying for a service that I cannot access.

The message you received in December was sent as part of our effort to keep patients informed about temporary pressures on our services. While we strive to provide timely updates, I sincerely apologise if you have not received further communication regarding any changes. These can be found on our website.

Like many healthcare providers, we continue to experience exceptionally high demand, which can unfortunately impact appointment availability. We are actively reviewing our appointment system to improve access while ensuring safe and effective care for all patients.

In the meantime, We would be happy to assist you in arranging an appointment for your son. Please contact the practice directly, and we will do our best to find a suitable solution for you. Additionally, if your concern is urgent, our team can advise on alternative options, including NHS 111 or local urgent care services.

Your feedback is invaluable, and we understand your frustration. Please know that we are committed to making improvements and truly appreciate your patience during this challenging time.
