"Trying for over a month to book an appointment"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as a service user),

I have been trying for over a month to book an appointment. The surgery has adopted this absolutely absurd practice of only being allowed to book appointments on a Wednesday, and you have to be one of the first ones in line to call or they’re all used up and you have to wait till the following week! I’ve been calling for over a month! Practice opens at 8, latest I’ve ever called is 8:03 and I still can’t book an appointment!

Only being able to book an appointment one one day a week is absolutely insane.

Utterly ridiculous.

Dear Patient AD,

Thank you for sharing your experience at your GP practice.

I am sorry to hear of the problems you are having trying to get an appointment with your GP. I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for you.

GP surgeries are independent contractors and as such, are not registered to respond on Care Opinion but are responsible for investigating any feedback or concerns about their service. Please could I ask that you contact the practice manager so they can investigate your concerns regarding booking appointments with the surgery.
