"Breast cancer operation"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Short Stay Unit

(as the patient),

Yesterday I had a breast operation to remove a tumour at University Hospital Wishaw.

I was greeted warmly as soon as I arrived. All of the staff that I came into contact with were all obliging, friendly and happy to support my needs.

I was a little apprehensive before going into surgery but my fears were allayed with a step by step approach that would happen during and after the procedure.

When I woke up a nurse was with me straight away and I said that I felt fine she kindly brought me coffee and biscuits so that I could be discharged to go home.

I cannot thank all of the staff enough. They maid a daunting time so very bearable.

Thanks once again.

Dear Falconzw77

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for staff for the staff within day surgery at University Hospital Wishaw.

It is lovely to read that all the staff were friendly and supporting, it can be a worrying time attending hospital so I am glad you were put at ease and it made a hard time a little easier.

I will pass on your kind words to the staff team.

I hope you are recovering well at home.

Best Wishes

Jen
