My son was admitted to Ward 2c and from the minute we arrived he was made to feel very comfortable and greeted by the lovely staff.
Once up in the morning we had a visit from Angela who works in the play room and is in charge of the kids activities, she had a chat with my son about the things he likes which is Football. In 5 minutes we were given an Xbox with the latest Fifa on it. He was blown away. This really helped him feel relaxed and entertained.
Later Angela told us where we could pick a few Dvds and gave us a dvd player.
We were telling Angela about my son frantically trying to listen to the football on the radio while being admitted, we were laughing.
I could not believe it when Angela then came back and asked us if we had plans on an upcoming date. We checked his phone calendar and he was free. We were then told she had organised tickets for us to go watch my sons favourite football team's upcoming match. My son nearly fell off his bed with excitement.
We are blown away with how kind the staff are.
