"Great relationship with health visitor"

About: Motherwell Locality Support Service / Health Visiting Team

(as a parent/guardian),

We had our health visitor since my first son was 1 year old, he is now turning 8 this year. My 2nd son was born in 2021 and we recently had our final visit with our health visitor, Geraldine.

She has been amazing and it's been so nice to have someone who has genuinely cared about both my children and me. Nothing was ever a bother for her and she was always at the other end of the phone.

She helped me so much when my 2nd son was born, she encouraged me to speak to my GP and was always there to listen. I never felt like I was being judged, she always respected me and genuinely cared.

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your experience with our service. Geraldine is a very valued member of our team and as your story demonstrates; she is a fantastic health visitor. We don't often get thank yous and it is a real boost to the Health Visitors when someone takes the time to name them and say thank you. I will share your lovely comments at our team meeting this week.
