At first it was very tough, I was with the team but I didn't really want to be in it. But with patience and time from the team and the right mindset and advice, you can be in no better place to get help.
I was also in the Asha Centre with good people and staff and that helped me out greatly. I met people who were the exact same as me with similar problems or worse problems and that helped me to recognise that I can do this as well.
Staff attitude was excellent throughout my interactions with Asha Centre and Community Addictions Team. When I first turned up I didn't care how I looked and getting that pride back was a big thing.
It was always a good feeling to get things off me chest with staff that I had developed relationships with including Eoin and Maria who were a great support and I felt listened to consistently. The service has literally saved my life, 2 years ago I was circling
"The service has literally saved my life"
