"I don’t know how they do it and always with a smile"

About: South West Acute Hospital / Emergency Care and Medicine Services South West Acute Hospital / Ward 9

(as a service user),

I feel like SWAH gets bad press and it makes me so sad. My person experience last week was - Everything from the check in at A&E, triage service, assessment by medics, bloods and line insertion from nursing staff and nursing assistant staff right up to my surgeon and staff on surgical/gyane ward.

I have never experienced such care and attention. I felt so safe, listened to, communicated with and managed in a way that I’ll never forget. The staff are dedicated, knowledgeable and so caring amidst the pressure, waiting times, and stresses. We are so lucky to have these services on our doorstep.

A special mention to the staff on ward 9. They never stop! I don’t know how they do it and always with a smile.

Thank you again for all your care I’ll never forget it.
